Description
Pewag 7mm nickel manganese alloy starWave square link tire chains wear up to 8 times longer than conventional twist link tire chains while giving you up to 32% more traction.
Contains 2 tire chains to cover two tires on one axle
Reversable design increases lifespan by reducing costs per mile
The square link design improves traction and grip compared to the rounded twist link tire chain
Cam Assisted Tensioning: These traction chains are supplied with built-in Cam tensioners and a Cam tensioning tool for easy, quick, and secure tensioning of the tire chain to the tire.
Ladder pattern chains are effective in deep snow and mud by providing good grip as they dig into the surface like a paddle tire while also being easy to install and cost-effective.
Starwave Chain features a unique wave-shaped link pattern which increases the surface area in contact with the ground enhancing grip.
Highway & Off Road: These chains are designed for paved road usage but can also be used Off-Road.
Installing Snow Chains
Installing these chains is simple.
Lay chains on the ground to get all the tangles out
1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks.
Drape chains over tire.
2. Drape the chain over your tires, making sure that the prongs attaching the cross chains to the side chains face away from your sidewalls. Drive forward about half a tire rotation.
Connect the chain behind the tire
3. On the back of the tire, pull the chain tight and hook the ends together. Repeat this on the front of the tire.
Twist cams
4. Insert the included tool into the cam and twist to tighten the sidewall chain. Twist as many cams as it takes to get a tight fit.
Attach optional tensioners
5. Drive forward 2-3 vehicle lengths and recheck the chain tension. Tighten any loose cams. If needed, rubber adjusters (sold separately) can help you get a tight fit. Make sure the hooks on the adjusters face away from your tire so your wheels don't get scratched.

Lengthen the life of snow chains by drying them after each use before you store them.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle
To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire.
Tire size on sidewall
185/60-15
(185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
(60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
(15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches
