CDL A Driver – Wildland Fire Support – $600/Day – Travel Required

This is a unique seasonal position supporting heavy equipment and wildfire operations throughout Oregon and potentially other Western states. You will be responsible for driving a semi truck and lowboy/equipment trailer, transporting heavy equipment, and assisting with fire operations as needed.
Pay: $600 per day while dispatched on fire assignments.
What we’re looking for:
* Valid Class A CDL
* Clean or reasonably clean driving record
* Comfortable driving a semi and pulling heavy equipment
* Lowboy / equipment hauling experience strongly preferred
* Must be willing to travel and stay out for extended assignments
* Must be dependable and able to leave on relatively short notice
* Comfortable working long days in rugged outdoor conditions
* Able to pass required drug testing and meet DOT requirements
* Wildland fire experience is a plus, but not necessarily required for the right candidate
Fire assignments can last multiple days or weeks at a time. This is not a typical 9–5 driving position. When dispatched, you need to be prepared to travel, work long days, and stay with the equipment for the duration of the assignment.
We are a Salem-area trucking company with an established wildland fire equipment program. We’re looking for someone dependable, safety-minded, mechanically aware, and able to operate independently without constant supervision.
