This Stratocaster/Partscaster features a Black Roadworn body/finish and Fender bridge/tremolo/saddles, a maple neck with a “C” profile and a bone nut, either an extremely dark rosewood fretboard or Ebony with 21 frets, i believe a 12” radius, dot inlays, and this comes equipped with a loaded pickguard with Fender Noiseless pickups in the neck and middle position and I believe a Fender DH-1 Humbucker pickup in the bridge.
This was built for a gentleman by a luthier/tech friend of his. From what I was told…. Body is unknown, neck is from Canada, loaded pickguard out of a 2006 American Stratocaster. Based on these pickups, has to be a from an American Deluxe Stratocaster HSS.
You’re most definitely not going to find another guitar that looks the part, plays this well, and uses this quality of parts for this price. An MIM Road Worn is twice this Used. A Custom Shop is ten times the price.
The body very much reminds me of a Nash and how far they go on some models with the relic’d look. The neck on the other hand doesn’t quite go Nash and still retains the lacquer look while still being smooth as all get out. The neck is the real winner in my books. Looks and plays great, and I love that dark fretboard.
The condition is arguably Excellent. Also arguably not…. What can ya do? Be sure to check the pics. Expect general play wear. Has been cleaned up, frets polished, fretboard cleaned and conditioned, new strings. D’Addario 10-46.
Comes with a Gigbag.
My tools/scale clock everything at
1st fret neck depth .88”
12th fret depth .93”
1st fret width 1.68”
12th fret width 2.02”
