Here's another Burtone Tele build that features an ultra-thin Shell Pink nitro finish over a gorgeous Warmoth one-piece swamp ash body. With no glue-join or seams to hinder tone, you can expect all the resonance that only one piece of wood can offer. Additonally, I've seen more than one seam come apart on two or more piece bodies, and for that reason only use one-piece bodies in all builds.
Swamp Ash vintage spec Tele body includes such features as a sharp edge radius, countersunk ferrule holes, flat jack area, routers hump, shallow pickup cavities and diagonal channel rout.
Lacquer has been kept to an absolute minimum to promote tone. The clear coats have yellowed significantly and there's plenty of complex, natural lacquer checking throughout.
The body is fully grain filled, with no primer coat. With a finish this thin and a one-piece body, you can expect increased sustain, low-end, resonance and better overall tonal response.
Note: While this guitar is comprised of all new body/neck and components, it's designed to appear aged, and as such you can expect yellowed and/or faded nitro, lacquer checking, nicks/chips/dings/scratches, blemishes, oxidation, rust, minor mods, and on and on.
The neck is a fat two-piece maple, with a dark rosewood board. At 1.0-1.0, the extra mass translates into more sustain, bass response, and thicker overall tone while still retaining that classic Tele twang.
The frets have been leveled, crowned and polished with a finely cut unbleached bone nut by our friends at Lowborn Guitars in Monmouth, Oregon.
Manlius Rodeo aged pickups that deliver classic twang with a fat overall tone.

Emerson 4-way wiring harness has an additional neck/bridge position in series for fat humbucker tone.
