This is your opportunity to own a unique example of dedicated craftsmanship of yesteryear, a stunning blend of musical and artistic design, a chance to show yourself to be a true connoisseur in a world of 'ordinary '.
Offered is a Price and Teeple upright grand piano from around the turn of the 20th century. Made from quarter sawn oak, this rare beauty features not only masterful ornate detailing, but an almost unseen display of prominent faces, Guardian Griffons and Father Time, 2 each. The only other one I've ever seen is on the Antique Piano Company site (please check it out, including price, etc.). Theirs is 'mostly restored', mine is as yet unrestored, yet breathtaking.
I have enjoyed this as a conversation piece/centerpiece prominently displayed in my living room for years, not as an instrument but as my most cherished furnishing. Sadly, age and practicality are requiring us to downsize, so it's time for a new curator to give it a loving home.
I'm fully aware that there are a number of beautiful old/antique pianos listed, inexpensive, even free. I would not seek to disparage them in the least. However, whereas many (most) people are satisfied with a really nice car, the discriminating few won't settle for less than a fine automobile. Timex (sorry) makes great watches for the masses, but will never be a Rolex.
My asking price is based on email communication with the aforementioned Antique Piano Co. I'm certainly happy to discuss details upon serious inquiries.
Treat yourself to an investment/legacy that will bring pride and joy for generations to come.
