In need of Homecare Provider - position is approx. 40-45 hours a week. I live in nice, quiet home in West Salem, with my cat--Bella. Used pwr wheelchair for 47 years after spinal injury. I drive & worked 37+ yrs, directing non-profit & then State agency. Started using in-home assistance after husband passed 15 yrs ago. I have 2 Providers—1 for 10+yrs & the other 5+ yrs. Losing 1 due to family illness. My needs include assistance with bathing, dressing, transfers, toileting and other personal care, as well as general housekeeping and light cooking. There is no “full lifting” involved, but dressing, transfers & positioning me in my wheelchair requires someone physically fit. Over the years we've developed techniques that make these things smooth w/a little practice. Provide lots of training. Due to an irreparable broken Femur, I usually only get into my wheelchair 1-2 days a week. I remain busy with advocacy work and Admin to Realtor from bed remainder of week. HOURS: Mondays: 5:30pm-6:00am (Tues); Fridays & Saturdays: 8:30am-Noon, 2:30-3:30pm, 5:30pm-6:00am. Some flexibility possible.
