Vintage antique English country-style dining chair $50
Often referred to as a spindle-back or fiddle-back kitchen chair.
Dates to the early 20th century, specifically the 1920s or 1930s.
Style: Traditional English country or farmhouse aesthetic.
• Materials: These chairs were traditionally crafted from woods like elm and beech, which were chosen for their durability and attractive grain patterns. I am not sure which is our wood.
• Backrest: Features a central carved splat (sometimes called a "fiddle" or "lyre" back)
flanked by turned spindles.
• Legs and Spindles: Decorative turned legs and spindles contribute to its classic look.
• Seat: Typically features a solid wood "saddle" or plank-bottom seat.
• Condition: Very solid. This chair was purchased in it’s present condition which is the original finish worn off, and I have never gotten around to refinishing, so it is a project for some lucky buyer.
