I purchased the truck in May, 2007. 130,000 miles., it now has just under 190,000.
Major upgrades since then include:
Bed liner, June, 2007 ($650.00)
Gear Vendors OD, Air Bags, Banks Exhaust, April, 2010 ($4,500.00) with installation.
Banks Intercooler, August, 2022 ($1,770.00).
BD Diesel “built” transmission, March, 2023 ($7,000.00) with installation.
KC Stage II Dual Ball Bearing Turbo, Bellowed Up/Down Pipes, July, 2023 ($1,350.00).
Steering linkage, upper/lower ball joints, Sept, 2023 ($2,500.00).
Front brakes, rotors, wheel bearing & seals, August, 2025 ($852.00)
This is only major upgrades. Not included are things like starter, alternator, batteries, water pump etc. that have been replaced as needed throughout the years. I have records of all regularly done maintenance, like oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotation and brakes.
Many parts are included: Too many to list here. Some are radiator hoses, belt, sensors and two air filter (K&N for normal driving and a NAPA 6037 for dusty conditions). Also a rebuilt PCM which retails for over $600.00.
I put in an electric transmission cooling fan under the bed. Between it and the intercooler EGT's never go much over 900 and tranny temps stay under 190 when pulling a load up a hills.
I do annual oil changes (less than 5,000 miles) where I also change the oil filter, fuel filter, transmission filter, Gear Vendors oil and clean out and empty the oil catch can. I only use Schaffer's 15W40 full synthetic motor oil. I've always used an upper end fuel lubricant because of low sulfur diesel. Lucas initially and the last few years Archoil.
The body and paint are in about as good condition you'll find in a truck this year with original paint. There are no dents, but there are some normal scratches. It does not leak a drop of oil anywhere. Very rare for these old Powerstoke diesel trucks. Rust free except for the rear bracket on the driver's side running board. All the glass and upholstery is in great condition. I put in leather seat covers, because I like them. There's only one bad spot on the cloth seats underneath. It's a little scrape on the driver's seat where someone probably got in with a tool on their belt or something. It did not puncture the fabric.
The Gear Vendors OD allows you to cruise empty at 70 mph down the freeway @ 1,500 RPM. With a 4:10 rear end, it's a real fuel saver. The other advantage with the Gear Vendors allow you to split the gears when towing. Second OD and regular for pulling hills.
This is a great truck in excellent condition. I've put a lot into it and superior maintenance. If something is not right or needs attention, I take it. The only issue is the front tank fuel gauge. It still works, but it's can be off when full. The important thing is that it's accurate when it's low. It's probably the fuel float sensor and I'm not wanting to pull the fuel tank to fix it since it still works when it's necessary.
Clean Experian Auto Check Report report showing NO accidents. This is a very well cared for truck that was used as a truck. It's not a show truck and it's not a beat up work truck. It's a really nice older truck that can do anything you want it to do plus no DEF, no smog check and no CAT.
