I lived and traveled full-time in this van for nearly two years.
I am the second owner. I purchased it in June 2022 with 78,000 miles on it.
Current Mileage 112,780 (mileage may increase slightly until sold as it is currently my daily driver.)
4 cylinder engine.
Automatic Transmission
I am the second owner. Since purchasing it has been maintained and oil changes every 5000 miles.
Being a full-time nomad I have traveled and camped out of this vehicle all over the Western and Central US.
Pros:
-100 watt Solar Panel on roof.
-12V RV Reversible 10 speed Roof Vent Fan.
-Drives and runs great.
-Reliable and cheap to maintain.
-Gets great gas mileage.
-It's ready for you build out and make your own.
Cons:
-Small (The Mazda5 is smaller than a standard size minivan).
-Only about 7 inches of ground clearance. But depending on the type of camping you plan on doing this is plenty. I had no issues on forest service roads.
I do not have any of the rear seats. However, if wanted or needed they can be purchased from a junkyard.
The only reason I am selling is because I purchased a truck and am up sizing to a travel trailer.
If you are looking for an inexpensive way to get into van life or just want a car camping rig this is a great adventure vehicle.
Or if you want a reliable daily driver this is a great little car.
