I’ve owned this vehicle since 2006 and it is sooo fun to drive. Fahrvergnügen. I drove it for 10 years, and then kept it in my garage the last 9 years wanting to someday restore it myself. It’s time for me to focus on other projects and now I just want someone else to restore this sweet ride! It started and drove no problem before it was garaged, but after sitting for so long it will need a complete go-through. Pulling it out of the garage, we were able to jumpstart it using ether starting fluid, but it doesn’t seem to be receiving fuel, won’t stay running or start on its own. Likely fuel lines/filter? Interior is in considerably good shape with minimal wear. Small dent and aome paint chips on exterior and needs front bumper, front wheel-well trim and driverside lower trim.
Odometer reads: 267,070
MPG avg. 26-30 in city, 30-35 freeway
I always had oil, vw coolant, water, brake fluid in the trunk with me and every week or so top off levels, as needed. There is also a power-steering fluid leak. Front passenger door lock works from inside, but is having trouble with the key from the outside.
