I have this 1986 GMC Suburban that I was going to restore as it is very unique. Years ago a former owner has installed a 1 ton front and rear suspension. If a person didn't know that they were not made this way you would not have a clue it was converted. Being a person that always has dually's this intrigued me and thought I would have fun restoring it. Life changes and so do plans. With that said since it is a nice solid rust free truck that no one has changed anything on other than the suspension it is a great restoration project for someone that enjoys these body styles.
It is as follows:
1986 GMC Suburban
454 ci. engine
Factory clock (still keeps time)
Power door locks
Factory split front seats with center console
The truck runs very well. Steers good. The rearend apparently has very low gears as I am guessing it was in a truck that was a standard shift. My intentions were to change that but someone could use it as it is as well. As you can see the upholstery on the front two seats are bad as well as the carpet. The dash pad also has cracks from the sun.
