This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers by providing product recommendations, preparing quotations, processing orders, sourcing materials, and building long-term customer relationships.
The ideal candidate understands industrial components and enjoys helping customers solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Assist customers by phone, email, and in person
* Prepare quotes and process customer orders
* Identify and source industrial components and related products
* Recommend alternate products and solutions
* Develop strong relationships with contractors, manufacturers, and industrial customers
* Work closely with purchasing and warehouse teams
* Follow up on open quotes and sales opportunities
* Maintain accurate customer and product information
* Support outside sales representatives as needed
Qualifications:
* Experience in industrial distribution, construction materials, contractor supplies, manufacturing, or wholesale distribution
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to read product specifications and technical information
* Comfortable using ERP and inventory systems
