Customer Service Representative I - One Position Available

Position Summary
Serve as the first point of contact for Pfeifer Roofing by delivering a positive, professional experience for prospective and current clients. Respond promptly to incoming calls and digital inquiries, create and maintain accurate client and job records in the company CRM, and coordinate estimator appointments using Outlook to support smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage a high volume of incoming calls, provide clear information about our roofing services, and respond to customer questions in a courteous and timely manner. You will schedule, confirm, and coordinate roofing appointments and estimate follow-ups, helping maintain smooth communication between customers, estimators, and the broader roofing team. You will also address customer concerns—including schedule changes, service issues, and warranty questions—by listening carefully, offering solutions, and escalating items when needed to ensure a positive customer experience. Accurate documentation is essential; you will record customer interactions, service requests, and project updates in our CRM and related systems. You will respond promptly to email inquiries and follow-ups, support day-to-day office administration such as filing, supply management, and organizing permits and project documentation, and process customer payments by phone or in person in accordance with company policies. Additionally, you will send appointment confirmations and reminders to help customers prepare and to keep projects on schedule.
Required Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will bring excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong typing proficiency, and a high level of accuracy in data entry. You should have a professional, customer-focused approach, strong attention to detail, and the organizational skills needed to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires patience and tact when resolving customer questions and concerns, along with sound problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Comfort using CRM software and common office tools is important, as is a positive, empathetic demeanor under pressure. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, adapts well to new processes and technology, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
