New 16 amp stator for Merc/Marinier Distributer type L6,L4 and new 3 cylinder models. Only 1/2 hour running time. My V6 began to run poorly and after trouble shooting I discovered the blue wire system failed! However the yellow wire system which is the charging system is still good. That's why now it will run just fine on the older distributer models! and the newer 3 cylinder models! Tape off the blue and red wires for older L6, L4 models or just tape off the blue wires for the 3 cylinder models.
I bought this unit from CDI 3 years ago for a spare. I decided to change it out when I replaced the voltage regulator this season. I mailed it back to CDI and they tested it. It failed their test and said they couldn't warranty it for they have only a 1 year warranty period. The automatically mailed it back to me!
