This is a former Navy vessel 36’ LCPL. These boats are built to a high standard and have a very thick solid bottom. No wood used in the construction. It originally had a Detroit 6-71 and foam filled sides and pockets in the hull. The foam in these boats get’s wet over decades of use and adds weight, this boat has been stripped completely of all wiring, motor, foam and work has been to clean and restore this to make a 36’ full walk around fishing boat. I began making a cabin, roof is made, walls are made just needs final assembly. I have a new commercial Diamond Sea Glaze windshield, glass is 5/8” safety glass. It comes on this 4 axel heavy adjustable trailer it’s not much to look at but it stout and makes the project doable. I bought the trailer from a guy up in Westport who used it to haul a 36’ Navy boat he bought at auction. A few photos attached are other completed projects that I had gathered.
If you want the boat empty and ready for whatever power you want to install the price is $10k.
This needs lots of hours to put it together but it’s a clean slate, no old corroded wires, you make make what you want.
This would make an amazing charter vessel as a full walk around or just a bad ass private boat. 36’ long 13’3” wide. It has a ton of deck space and the ability to fish all around makes for a great sport or commercial vessel. It’s also a great platform for a commercial fishing vessel. It has a nice sized cabin below that could be adapted to accommodate whatever you’ll use the boat for. Could easily allow for some sleeping quarters down there.
I have spent several years and a lot of hours on this one, but would be willing to pass the torch! I have spent hundreds of hours sanding, stripping, prepping, and getting it to this point. I have spent thousands of dollars and have some extra stuff with it.
