After owning this 1960 Old Town Dinghy boat for 20 years, I have decided to part with it. Includes boat canvas cover, oars and oar locks, vintage seat (seat needs repair),EZ Loader trailer, 2.5 Mariner outboard motor, and anchor
I was the second owner of this beauty. I purchased it from the estate of the original owner, my old friend, Jay. Jay purchased this boat new in 1960 to use as a dinghy on a research vessel he worked on through the University of Washington.
The boat is 9 ft 4 in. It has wooden ribs and is covered with a heavy canvas fabric which is painted with common green marine waterproofing paint.
Jay installed a motor mount on stern for a small motor.
Boat has an excellent canvas cover on top. Jay made a wooden rod that mounts onto the boat to helps support the canvas cover bow to stern. You can see the impression of it in the photos where the canvas cover is in place.
The motor is a mid-90's Mariner 3D5 2.5 horsepower two-stroke outboard motor (not used for several years)
Comes with the original oars and oar locks.
The trailer brand is EZ Loader. One spare tire. Trailer has a plywood platform over the tongue where I installed bicycle mounts on the platform for hauling two bicycles. I also installed a 2x4 mount on the front that would support a kayak on top. One of the photos shows this. The support can be removed.
I've mostly used this as a row boat for fishing and have enjoyed many camping trips to Ana Reservoir, Duncan Reservoir, and elsewhere.
It has been lovingly cared for through the years. Still in excellent condition. You won't find another one like this. Seriously.
Price reduced to $2400. Price includes boat, trailer, canvas cover, oars and oar locks, 2.5 Mariner outboard motor, anchor, vintage seat (seat needs repair) and trailer. Cash only. You haul. I'm not interested in selling any of it separately.
