This outdated but timeless piece of technology still operates mechanically and electrically, once plugged in and switched on. It is equipped with a high power German-made magnifying lens with cover, lightbulb, large convex lens, and slide holder.
The operating manual can be located online here. http://www.jollinger.com/photo/cam-coll/manuals/enlargers/misc/VivitarVI_Manual.pdf
My grandfather passed his love of photography on to me, but sadly I have never been able to put this piece of technology to its intended job.
I used this gorgeous piece of equipment as a pedestal for my houseplants. With the built-in spot light, she quickly became the room's statement piece.
Slight discoloration on white base, but other than that she's in wonderful condition.
Kept in climate controlled environment for the past decade.
