The managers are jerking you around. They can fire an employee and not give a reason. Period. They are better off to do it this way; the employee would not have any grounds to come back on them. Employees are expected to give 2 weeks notice when leaving. Employers do not, they just call a person into their office and fire them. No reason; no discussion; end of story.
Good luck! Besides, if I remember correctly, each employee must sign into the computer under their number. The card thing would be really easy to track. The employee may be a "friend." Go to the next level of management. EVERYBODY has a boss. Just keep on climbing.
